Description

The perfect place to relax and unwind, Granary Cottage is cosy and well-equipped with panoramic views. The converted granary retains its character whilst providing modern facilities. Peaceful and quiet, surrounded by our own land, yet we are only 2.5 miles from Llandrindod Wells, an attractive Victorian spa town with all the usual amenities. The cottage is an ideal base for exploring this unspoilt part of Radnorshire.

The cottage has a double- bedded room with ensuite bathroom with walk in shower and bath on the ground floor. A twin bedded room with ensuite bathroom with bath is on the first floor. A well-fitted kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, washing machine and microwave, has a separate dining area. Upstairs, the sitting room is airy and light with stunning views over the hills. Colour TV with Sky Freeview, DVD player, CD/Radio. Books and Games. Gas central heating.. Outside is a small terrace that catches the morning sun. There is also a separate lawned garden with table and chairs, which again has wonderful views. Plenty of parking space outside the cottage.

We welcome dogs and horses. We have large loose boxes, with undercover grooming/wash down area, tack room, well fenced fields and cross-country fences. Direct access to hill riding.

Directions

From the North via A44 and A483 from Crossgates.Come into Llandrindod Wells, go past the Metropole Hotel (large green hotel on your left), at the mini roundabout take the first turning left, signposted The Lake. Almost as soon as your turn left, turn right between the chemists and the Automobile Palace. Follow that road out past the lake to a T junction. Turn left, go up hill past golf course, round bad bend, past bungalows on your left, keep going for about 1/4 mile and follow the road as it bends sharply to the right (do not take the road in front which has a no through road sign). Go along there through a metal gate, down the hill to a black gate, turn in just through the black gate into the yard. It is the only farm on the right after the golf course. Don't go into Ty Gwyn Bach, which is well before you come to us.

From the South via A483 from Builth Wells. As you come into Llandrindod Wells you pass the garage on your right, then you come to a wide right hand turn opposite the Grosvenor Stores signposted The Lake and Golf Course. Area description

This area of Mid Wales is still relatively unknown, the roads are quiet and the area has a feeling of being “far from the madding crowd”. Yet there is so much for the visitor to see and do whatever their interests. Builth Wells, home of the Royal Welsh showground and Hay on Wye, famous for its bookshops are just two of the small towns worth visiting. The dams and reservoirs of the Elan Valley provide spectacular scenery; combine this with a visit to watch the Red Kites at Gigrin Farm. There are open gardens to visit. For the more active - Llandrindod Wells Golf Course is 5 minutes from the cottage and provides spectacular views whilst playing a challenging course. Riding, rally driving, clay pigeon shooting and fishing are all available close by. Radnorshire is a walker’s and horse rider’s paradise, with miles of hill and farm walking.
